About Nauset Media:
Nauset Media was founded 10 years ago by Lukas Scott.
He is still the primary photographer and driving force behind the company.
He handles more high-end listings than any other photographer on Cape Cod and is the primary photographer for Sotheby's across the Cape.
There are 2 other associate photographers working alongside Lukas as well.
We have a full-time assistant, photo editor, and rely on top-notch independent contractors for video editing and virtual staging.
With the addition of another photographer, we will likely also get another editor.
About the role:
You will be working with real estate agents to photograph properties.
You will be expected to do everything necessary to produce top-notch photography.
At some properties, you will also need to produce footage to be edited into real estate videos.
Some other services that Nauset Media provides include drone photography, Matterport, Zillow 3D tours, and floor plans.
Lukas can teach you anything you are not yet familiar with.
If you do not yet have a Part 107 certification, you will be expected to study on your own time and take the Part 107 test within 3 months of starting so that you can shoot professional drone photography.
You will be an independent associate photographer for Nauset Media.
If you are already a photographer in real estate or weddings, the arrangement should be familiar.
To start, you will come to photo shoots alongside Lukas in a one-month trial period where you can make sure the role with Nauset Media is right for you and Lukas can determine if you are the right photographer for the role.
In your role, you will be compensated based on the services you produce at each house.
Photos, video, floor plan 3D, drone, etc.
During the training period where you are shooting alongside Lukas to learn, you will be compensated at a half rate for each product.
Once past the initial trial period, you will be compensated at a full rate.
Rates will be disclosed during the initial conversation but expect to be compensated better than industry standard.
You will need to add your availability to a Google calendar for one week out.
We will do our best to fill the slots in your calendar with shoots.
After the initial trial period, most of your shoots will be solo.
Unfortunately, due to the nature of the industry, the schedule often changes BUT we handle the backend communication with clients and work around your schedule.
If you have another gig that often leaves you free during the day such as wedding/family photography, waiting at a restaurant, fire/EMS, etc.
, this role could work very well for you as long as you are flexible to work/not work based on the schedule.
At the end of each day, you will be expected to upload all raw photos, floor plans, footage, etc.
From there, everything will be handled by the team.
You will not be required to edit or deliver content to clients.
Expect all of your work to be reviewed and lots of feedback to be provided.
While you might already be a very good photographer, we set our standards high and expect any content associated with Nauset Media to be exceptional.
Good enough is unacceptable.
If you believe you are the right person for this role, please apply for an incredible opportunity to grow as a photographer while maintaining independence and being well compensated for the industry.
Note:
All applicants who do not submit a portfolio or who do not live on Cape Cod or within a short drive will not be considered.
Please also let us know what system you shoot on and your widest lens.
